ABOUT VAMPIRE FACIALS
What is a Vampire Facial
Billie has been trained by the founder of the infamous Vampire Facial, Dr. Charles Runels. The Vampire Facial gives you all the benefits of Microneedling but with superior results including reducing hyperpigmentation, sun damage, and large pores. The PRP is Platelet Rich Plasma that the provider draws from your blood and spins it on a centrifuge to create platelet-rich plasma. The platelets play a vital role in healing and contain growth factors that stimulate cell reproduction and tissue regeneration.
How Does the Vampire Facial Work
Blood Collection: A small blood sample is drawn from you arm.
Processing: The sample is spun in a centrifuge to separate Platelet-Rich Fibrin.
Liquid Gold Formation: PRF is processed into a “serum-like” consistency to ensure controlled application.
Application: The PRF is applied topically to the face prior to and after microneedling. These microneedling channels create a pathway for the PRF to enter into the skin and stimulate you own collagen and elastin production!
What to Expect During a Facial Treatment
Facials are typically relaxing and rejuvenating. Here’s what happens:
Before Treatment: The nurse will assess your skin and discuss any concerns. Based on this, they will recommend the best facial for your skin type.
During Treatment: You’ll be lying comfortably while the nurse performs each step, including drawing your blood, cleansing your skin, microneedling, and reapplying the PRF. Most Vampire Facials last between 60-90 minutes.
After Treatment: Your skin will appear red, tight, and warm. This will improve over the following weeks but you will need reduce your time in the sun and avoid harsh chemicals at last 24-48 hours after. Your skin should start flaking within 2 weeks. Please do not pick at the skin or try to peel it off prematurely. This is part of the healing process and will leave your skin feeling smoother, more radiant, and hydrated. Your nurse may also suggest a follow-up skincare routine, such as SkinBetter Science’s Alto Advanced Defense and repair serum. This is an excellent choice for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
